Bands

Band is a collaborative space where musicians can work together on songs, share files, and communicate. Every song, setlist, and file you create is part of a band.

You can be a member of multiple bands, such as your own personal band and bands for different groups you play with.

Band Header​

The band header at the top center of the screen is your main tool for managing bands.

Create a Band​

  1. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  2. Select 'Create band'.
  3. Enter a band name.

When you create a band, you are automatically its Admin.

Switch Between Bands​

  1. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  2. Tap on 'Switch band'.
  3. A list of your bands will appear.
  4. Select a band to switch to its content.

View and Edit Band Details​

To view and edit current band details:

  1. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  2. Select 'View band'.

Here you can see the band name and members.

You can edit band name, manage members, and send invitations (if you are an Admin).

Band Roles​

  • Admin: Full control. Manages materials, settings, and members.
  • Member: Manages materials (songs, setlists) only. Cannot change settings or manage members.
  • Viewer: View-only access to band materials. Cannot make any changes. Ideal for guest musicians.

Invite Members to a Band​

  1. Switch to the band you wish to modify.
  2. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  3. Select 'View band'.
  4. Tap on 'Manage Invites'.
  5. Tap on 'Invite User to Band'.
  6. Enter the user's email or Bandfix username, select their role, and click 'Send Invite'.

This functionality is available to band Admins only.

Respond to an Invite​

When you are invited to join a band, you will receive a notification in the app. Your Account tab will also show pending invites. To respond to an invite:

  1. Go to the Account tab.
  2. Tap on the menu button in the top-right corner.
  3. Select 'Invites'.
  4. Tap on an invite to accept or decline it.

Remove a Member​

  1. Switch to the band you wish to modify.
  2. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  3. Select 'View band'.
  4. Tap on red trash icon near to a member's name to remove a member from your band.

This functionality is available to band Admins only.

Change a Member's Role​

  1. Switch to the band you wish to modify.
  2. Tap on the band header at the top center of the screen.
  3. Select 'View band'.
  4. Tap on white pencil icon near to a member's name to change their role.

Leave a Band​

  1. Switch to the band you wish to leave.
  2. Click the band header.
  3. Select 'Leave Band'.

You can only leave a band that you were invited to.
